Can you put the couch back together? September 13, 2009

Alyssa loves to take the couch cushions off and lay on the floor with them.  I don’t care but this drives Chris insane.  So when Chris is about to walk in the door I run over and put the couch back together again.  Isn’t it funny what we do for our children.   So today this is what my day has consisted of.

Me: Alyssa put the couch back together!

Alyssa: I can’t, my booboo

Me: You got your booboo 5 days ago. I think you are ok.

Alyssa: ????????

Me: Nevermind, I am too tired.

I think the family needs to get out more.  Tomorrow is operation get out and do something.  I will let you know how it goes.

Today I was talking to one of the girls from work and she was telling me how her boyfriend (Baby) has not gotten a paycheck from the State of California since July.  Baby is a Firefighter and is currently fighting the terrible Southern CA fires.   Governor Arnold Sweerwewtjkrtrethrje (however you spell his name) has now decided to take a second look at the budget to see if they can get the Firefighters paid out by October.  EXCUSE ME MISTER!!!!  Maybe I have not gotten the whole story here and correct me if I am wrong but that  is FUCKED UP!!  I can’t believe they did not find money in the budget to pay their employees when they made the budget.  Don’t you think that is the first thing to put in the budget is to pay people? How they expect them to live?  Baby said that some of his co workers are loosing their homes and they all have had to take on a second job to make ends meet.  How long do they expect people to go on without money?  I would already be living in my car or worse back at my parents house.   I have already gone off on Twitter about this but then I  decided I was not done.  Why does it take a state of emergency in order to pay the people that risk their lives to keep this state from burning down?  This is just wrong.  I feel like I need to do something.  I am going to email Arnold and see what we can work out for these State Employees.  I am also going to give Arnold my Mom’s contact information because she is very good with money and she could get the State on budget.  She has done it for me lots of times cause she does not want me living at her house.  🙂

Let see how Arnold deals with fire!funphotobox012138lspnsw

I got one view today.  Thank you to the one person in the whole wide world that looked at my blog.  I am on my way to blogher 10.

Today I am home with Alyssa.  I want a nap but she is not going along with it.  So I am stuck with a dirty kitchen and 500 5 loads of laundry.  I am living the life.   The only thing I have to look forward too is the new season of Sons of Anarchy starts 09/08/09 at 10pm on FX.  Check it out.

We made it a whole two weeks of school before hearing from the principal.  My poor CJ tries but it is hard on all of us.  I am not one of those moms that say “Not my Child” believe me I know what my boy is capable of.  My son has been diagnosed with ADD.  Cj is on meds now and is doing better but still has some troubles at school.  I just love when the teachers refer us to school programs to help us with the ADD but when the worker calls us the first thing they ask is if we have private insurance.   I tell them yes and I am proud.  Then they tell me sorry can’t help you unless you are on medi-cal.  Well fuck you very much.  WTF! I know they are doing their job but what about us middle class people.  My insurance does not pay for any doctor or counseling visits for CJ ADD.  I would spend every last dime I have on my child but give us a break.  We have already spent thousands of dollars on CJ medical bills.  I just think that if they are going to help people out then they need to help everyone.  Us middle class peeps struggle just like everyone else.  Probably most than others because we make to much for help but don’t make enough for the extras.  Oh well that is my rant of the week.

Today is my last day of vacation and then it is back to work tomorrow.   I am kind of glad to be going back to work believe or not.  I have been home with Alyssa all week and it has been fun but I am ready to go back.  By 10:00am tomorrow morning I will wish I was home with Alyssa again.  I am not looking forward to what awaits me when I get back.  I have a huge report due by Tuesday at noon and I only have one little piece of it done.  It is like I am back in school and have left my homework to the last minute.  Oh well, I work my best under pressure.  We also get to start wearing our new uniforms tomorrow.  Which is good because my old scrubs were getting worn out.  i work at the local hospital and last year we got a new CEO.  When he came in he decided we needed uniforms.  A lot of people got upset by this but the hospital gave us three pairs of scrubs so I was not going to complain.  Some people are never happy.  So anyways, that is about it for now.

Yesterday i cleaned the house and today I am sore. It is so sad that I am sore after cleaning the house.  I need to get my ass to the gym.  I have belonged to the gym for a couple of years now and never go.  I cant count how many times I have set the alarm to get up and go the gym.  I have to get going.  Last October I had the lap band procedure done and have almost lost 60 pounds.  I would be losing more if I would excerise.  I went to the store today and got stuff to take my lunch and fruit and veggies.  I am going to get back on track and get healthy.  Tomorrow I am going to set my alarm and get to the gym.  I will see how it goes.  Talk to you later.
